According to the agriculture ministry on May 20, Cambodia exported agricultural products worth $1.57297 billion in the first four months of this year.
The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry, and Fisheries reported that paddy accounted for $296.72 million, or 18.86% of the total, milled rice $189.07 million (12.02%), and other items $1.08719 billion (69.12%).
In the first three months of the year, the Kingdom exported 3,073 tonnes of peppercorn, rising 175% year on year.
Cassava, cashew nuts, corn, mung beans, soybeans, bananas, pomelos, mangoes, palm oil, peppercorn, tobacco, and vegetables were among the non-rice agriculture products exported in January-April, totaling 2,762,563 tonnes.
Paddy and milled-rice exports totaled 1,648,474 and 50,599 tonnes, respectively, during the same period.
In 2021, the Kingdom exported 7,984,251.83 tonnes of agricultural products to 68 countries and territories, netting more than $4.96785 billion, a 63.83 percent increase over 2020.
