The Henan Provincial Administration of China has expressed strong interest in developing an agro-industrial park in Cambodia, with plans to expand it into a specialized agriculture trade zone over time. This interest was reaffirmed during an investment promotion session held in Phnom Penh on March 5, led by Cambodia’s Deputy Prime Minister and CDC First Vice President, H.E. Sun Chanthol.
The proposed agro-industrial park is expected to feature a variety of agricultural product processing facilities and warehouses, all equipped with state-of-the-art technologies to enhance efficiency and productivity.
H.E. Sun Chanthol expressed his gratitude for this investment intention, emphasizing Cambodia’s many other attractive investment opportunities, including in sectors such as industrial manufacturing, the automotive industry, green energy, services, and education.
The meeting also saw the participation of Chinese Ambassador to Cambodia, H.E. Wang Wenbin, and H.E. Li Fengzhi, Deputy Governor of the People’s Government of Guangzhou City, alongside over 50 senior officials and key investors from both nations. It served as a platform for Cambodian investors to present their potential and explore partnership opportunities with their Chinese counterparts.
