On April 7, 2025, LYNK & CO Automotive (Cambodia) officially marked its entry into the Cambodian market with a signing ceremony held at the Sofitel Phnom Penh Phokeethra Hotel. The event celebrated the appointment of the company as the official distributor of LYNK & CO vehicles in Cambodia.
Presiding over the ceremony was His Excellency Peou Maly, Secretary of State at the Ministry of Public Works and Transport, representing His Excellency Peng Ponea, Minister of Public Works and Transport. Lok Neak Oknha Ly Hour, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Ly Hour Group, also attended the ceremony as a guest of honor. The event welcomed a distinguished gathering of national and international guests, signifying the importance of this milestone for Cambodia’s automotive and green energy sectors.
In his keynote speech, Neak Oknha Ly Sopheark, Chairman of the Board of Directors of LYNK & CO Automotive (Cambodia), emphasized the company’s commitment to supporting Cambodia’s vision for sustainable development. “Today is a significant moment—not only for our company but for Cambodia’s journey toward a cleaner environment and a more sustainable future,” he stated. He highlighted that the arrival of LYNK & CO vehicles aligns with the Royal Government’s goals of promoting green transportation and environmental responsibility.
Echoing this sentiment, His Excellency Peou Maly stressed the government’s dedication to enhancing the transportation sector under the leadership of Prime Minister Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet. “The introduction of LYNK & CO vehicles reflects the government’s strategy to modernize the transport system, improve safety and convenience, and minimize environmental impact through the adoption of low-emission, advanced technologies,” he said.
Mr. Bruce Lee, Managing Director of Southeast Asia for LYNK & CO Automobile Sales International, explained why Cambodia was selected as a strategic market. “Cambodia is a dynamic country with strong economic potential. With more than 65% of the population under 30 and a consistent GDP growth rate of over 6.8% for the past five years, it’s clear that Cambodians are ready to embrace modern mobility solutions,” he noted.
At the ceremony, LYNK & CO introduced two flagship models to the Cambodian market: the LYNK & CO 06 EM-P, offering a driving range of 1,150 kilometers, and the LYNK & CO 08 EM-P, capable of reaching 1,200 kilometers. These models are designed to meet the evolving needs of Cambodian consumers, combining advanced safety features, modern technology, and affordability.
To ensure long-term customer satisfaction, the company announced a generous warranty policy: a 5-year or 100,000-kilometer general warranty, and an 8-year or 150,000-kilometer warranty on core electrical components for electric models.
In support of Cambodia’s electric vehicle ecosystem, LYNK & CO Automotive (Cambodia) will work closely with local partners to roll out charging infrastructure across the country. This initiative is expected not only to encourage electric vehicle adoption but also to create job opportunities in areas such as installation, maintenance, and after-sales services.
Looking ahead, the first LYNK & CO showroom in Cambodia will open in Phnom Penh in May 2025, with expansion plans targeting Siem Reap and Preah Sihanouk provinces over the next two years.
The event concluded with the official signing of the distributor agreement by Neak Oknha Ly Sopheark and Mr. Bruce Lee, with His Excellency Peou Maly and Lok Neak Oknha Ly Hour serving as honorary witnesses to this important milestone.
With a strong focus on innovation, environmental responsibility, and collaboration with local stakeholders, LYNK & CO Automotive (Cambodia) aims to offer a new standard in driving experience—one that blends convenience, sustainability, and economic opportunity for the Cambodian people.
