The Cambodia-ASEAN Business Summit 2025, held under the theme “Accelerating ASEAN’s Connectivity: People, Infrastructure, and Trade,” was officially inaugurated this morning by Cambodia’s Prime Minister, Samdech Moha Borvor Thipadei Hun Manet.
In his opening remarks, Samdech Thipadei reaffirmed Cambodia’s commitment to building a resilient, sustainable, inclusive, and competitive ASEAN Economic Community. He emphasized the pivotal role of infrastructure development, digital connectivity, and trade facilitation in driving regional economic growth and deeper integration.
Neak Oknha Kith Meng, President of the Cambodia Chamber of Commerce and Chair of ASEAN-BAC Cambodia, underscored the significance of the summit, noting that it is being held amid global uncertainties and disruptions.
“We are here today to send a strong message of our shared spirit and unwavering commitment to building and nurturing the ASEAN Economic Community. Both the government and the private sector are working hand in hand to find win-win solutions and opportunities in a calm, constructive, and cooperative manner,” he stated.
He further stressed that this collaborative approach—widely recognized as the ASEAN Way—enhances regional strength and resilience, helping ASEAN navigate global uncertainties while unlocking its full economic potential.
With ASEAN projected to become the world’s fourth-largest economy by 2030, boasting a combined GDP of US$10 trillion, Neak Oknha Kith Meng encouraged foreign investors to consider Cambodia.
“I dare to say that Cambodia, with all of us working together, is strategically positioned to be a driving economic force in the years to come. If you are looking for a dynamic and increasingly integrated market, please consider Cambodia,” he said.
He also highlighted Cambodia’s strategic location, rapidly improving infrastructure, and proactive, business-friendly government, which continues to streamline business processes to attract investment.
The event brought together 510 participants, including representatives from 191 international companies and 124 local businesses, reflecting strong interest and engagement in ASEAN’s economic future.
