Phnom Penh is gearing up for an electrifying celebration of K-Pop as the globally acclaimed group Super Junior headlines the Global Life Sharing Charity Concert.
This prestigious event is a collaborative effort between Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, the Senate’s Commission on Investigation, Suppression and Anti-Corruption, and the Global Life Sharing Charity organization.
Announced on January 16, following a key meeting between Mam Bunneang, chairman of the Senate commission; Kim Yong Hwan, director of Global Life Sharing Charity; and Huot Hak, the Minister of Tourism, the concert is set to take place between May and October this year. It promises a spectacular lineup of K-Pop superstars, including Super Junior, alongside prominent Khmer artists.
A Global Stage with a Charitable Mission
Promotional campaigns for the concert will span Cambodia, South Korea, Japan, the Philippines, and China, creating an international buzz. While entertainment takes center stage, the event’s primary focus is on raising funds for Cambodian hospitals and educational institutions.
“This project is a special event that the ministry fully supports. We will cooperate in every way to make this project a success in Cambodia,” said Hun Dany, spokesperson for the Ministry of Tourism.
Tourism Boost and Cultural Exchange
In addition to its charitable mission, the concert is expected to attract tourists during Cambodia’s “Green Season,” highlighting the country’s capability to host large-scale international events. Hun Dany noted that events like these foster cultural exchange and elevate Cambodia’s global tourism profile.
“This concert will not only benefit Cambodia’s health and education sectors but also strengthen its image as a vibrant cultural and tourism destination,” she stated.
Super Junior Leads a Star-Studded Lineup
Super Junior, widely celebrated as the “Kings of Hallyu Wave,” is set to bring their iconic performances to Cambodia. Known for chart-topping hits like Sorry, Sorry and Mr. Simple, their involvement ensures a massive draw for K-Pop enthusiasts across Asia.
Blending the best of international and local talent, the Global Life Sharing Charity Concert is anticipated to be one of Cambodia’s most exciting events of 2025.
Fans and philanthropists alike can expect a night of unforgettable entertainment while contributing to a meaningful cause. The Ministry of Tourism reaffirmed its commitment to collaborating with stakeholders to create events that not only captivate audiences but also highlight Cambodia as a global destination.
