Do you know that I have spent my internship journey in four months with an amazing program and have had the best experience ever?
The Enterprise Solution Finder Cohort 2 program, which has been evolved by Enterprise Vision and supported by Khmer Enterprise, aims to nurture an entrepreneurial mindset and grow the tourism and hospitality sectors, including travel agencies, hotels, restaurants, bars, social enterprises, and start-up businesses based in Siem Reap Province.
I am Pisey. I work as an English-speaking tour guide in the Siem Reap region, and I’m currently participating in an internship program as part of the Enterprise Solution Finder Cohort 2. I have two goals in mind: one, I want to become more conscious of who I am; second, I want to understand what an entrepreneurial mindset is.
In the first month, I have joined a session; Ikigai is discovering the reason for a happy life and living that is a part of personal life and it helps me become aware of what I enjoy, care about, and how to push myself to accomplish it without feeling under pressure and solve a problem in this society.
While working as an intern with the coach and mentor, I did attend workshops on a wide range of topics including entrepreneurship, interpersonal skills, problem-solving, project planning, and writing about daily activities and challenges.
I believe this is what I’m looking for to enhance my knowledge and expertise in entrepreneurship workshops and put what I’ve learned into practice.
I have learned and gained a positive experience as well as a thorough understanding of the entrepreneur business model over the course of my internship.
Finding a solution to a social issue and trying to hold it on, in my opinion, is what it means to be an entrepreneur.
Beside entrepreneurship, the founder and owner of a business have to think about every single step to sustain their enterprise. They have to review vision, mission, value, environment, work space, and financial cash flow, etc and define it in very detail and have to observe all the time.
As an entrepreneur, I have to take care of each point of my work and logistics and figure out how to make everyone be on time and keep going with our vision and mission through team building and spirit.
As a result of the 4 month journey, I have found out what I want to do in the future. I learn about what I plan to do next by putting my potential knowledge and experience to use in developing an initiative project to address the social issue of environmental problems in my community.
My friends and I are working on a project related to the environment, sustainable consumption, production of packaging products from raw materials that are not harmful to the environment, people’s health, and climate. Since we witness the situation with plastic getting worse every year and its impact on the ecosystem and climate, I believe eco-friendly products are beneficial.
Finally, I would like to say thanks to the coach and mentor of the Enterprise Vision who helped me figure out what I should do and how to live a better life. I want to emphasize that everyone should invest their time in growing their mindset and personality with their objective or future goal in mind.
