An evening spent at 60 Road in Siem Reap is like no other in the city. Every evening after 5 pm when tourists start rushing to Pub Street, local residents gather along Road 60 for an evening festivity like no other – Siem Reap style!
You won’t see many tourists, but if you really want authentic local street cuisine and shopping experience, you must visit.
On the side of the road near the main Angkor ticket checkpoint is the Road 60 Night Market. Each night, stallholders set up shop, and it’s a perfect location to enjoy native Cambodian food and BBQ dishes. It’s a perfect place to relax and spend quality time with family and friends for an evening picnic.
Everything from phone chargers to leather jackets can be found at the market, as well as a fun fair with classic games like shooting balloons and a mini ferris wheel.
The area is deserted during the day, but it fills up with sellers and shoppers after 4.30 p.m.
Road 60 is a common feature of life here, and it offers visitors the opportunity to explore local life while avoiding Pub Street.
