Phnom Penh, July 2, 2025 — His Excellency Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of the Republic of Singapore, accompanied by his spouse, Madam Tze Lui Loo, stepped off a specially chartered aircraft at Phnom Penh International Airport early this morning. The dignitaries were greeted by a ceremonial guard of honour and senior Cambodian officials.
This marks PM Wong’s first bilateral trip to Cambodia in his current capacity, as part of an introductory regional tour aimed at strengthening ties across Southeast Asia. During the day‑long visit, he is scheduled to engage in high‑level discussions with Prime Minister Hun Manet, addressing topics such as trade, economic partnership, and collaboration in the digital economy.

- Bilateral Talks – PM Wong and his Cambodian counterpart will explore expanding trade relations and mutual investment ventures, with a particular focus on emerging sectors like fintech and digital infrastructure.
