Ms Hong Chenda went from being a typical flight attendant to being the first Cambodian female pilot on January 2, 2020, after receiving her pilot’s licence from Vietnam.

At the age of 29, Hong Chenda became the first Cambodian woman to fly an Airbus 320 when she joined Lanmei Airlines as an Airbus 320 pilot. Hong Chenda had a history of only working as a flight attendant prior to her accomplishment as a pilot.

Hong Chenda graduated from Bak Touk High School in 2011 and went on to Norton University to pursue a bachelor’s degree in hotel and resort tourism, which she completed in 2015. Ms. Chenda spent four years studying for a pilot, from 2016 to 2019.
