The Ministry of Tourism has officially unveiled the “Equinox Angkor Photo Contest,” inviting photographers and enthusiasts from around the globe to capture the mesmerizing moment of the Angkor Wat Equinox. This photographic challenge is open to both local residents and international visitors, aiming to highlight the breathtaking allure of this historical event through the lens of participants.
The contest offers attractive rewards, with cash prizes ranging from 1 to 3 million Riels for the most captivating entries, in addition to special commendations for outstanding contributions. This initiative seeks to not only showcase the splendid beauty of the Equinox at Angkor Wat but also to cultivate a deeper appreciation and engagement within the community towards this significant cultural and natural phenomenon.
The announcement of the photo contest follows the successful conclusion of the 8th River Festival, an event that attracted a multitude of attendees from both Cambodia and abroad, celebrating for three days amidst a backdrop of lively and colorful festivities. With the River Festival’s conclusion, focus now shifts towards the Angkor Wat Equinox, eagerly awaited for its stunning sunrise view that graces the Angkor Wat temple, creating a unique and enchanting experience.
