Phnom Penh, Cambodia — Synopsis Gallery, in collaboration with Stamp Library KH and powered by STOR-Y Design Hub, proudly presents “Postage Stamps, Featuring Cambodia – Part 2,” a tribute to the Kingdom’s past, present, and aspirations for peace, as seen through the remarkable medium of postage stamps.
This curated exhibition brings together 43 rare stamps and philatelic items to narrate Cambodia’s history—from the days of ancient heritage and colonial entanglement to the nation’s fight for independence and its ongoing emergence as a beacon of resilience and identity.
Each postage stamp in the exhibition tells a story. From Cambodia’s earliest issues dating back to 1864, to stamps symbolizing pivotal moments such as the Sangkum Reastr Niyum era, independence in 1953, the UNTAC peacebuilding mission, and beyond—these items are not mere collectibles but national storytellers.
By curating and displaying these historical stamps, the exhibition aims to inspire national pride, educate future generations, preserve and share postal heritage, and connect Cambodia’s story to the world. Through the timeless beauty of stamps, the exhibition brings history to life—ensuring Cambodia’s past is remembered, celebrated, and appreciated for years to come.
