The Council for the Development of Cambodia (CDC) and the International Finance Corporation (IFC) have held discussions to advance the drafting of Public-Private Partnership (PPP) operating procedures for the upcoming Sihanoukville Logistics Complex.
On March 26, Deputy Prime Minister H.E. Sun Chanthol, who also serves as the First Vice Chair of the CDC, welcomed an IFC delegation led by Mr. Thomas Lubeck, Regional Manager for PPP Transaction Advisory Services for South Asia and East Asia Pacific, at the CDC headquarters.
The meeting focused on accelerating the implementation of the Sihanoukville Logistics Complex Project, which aims to consolidate logistics services for both domestic and international cargo handling.
Once operational, the modern complex—strategically linked to the Sihanoukville Port Special Economic Zone (SPSEZ)—is expected to enhance the port’s cargo handling capacity. It will offer integrated logistics services such as transportation, warehousing, consolidation, and distribution.
In addition, the facility will feature a cargo management system and introduce advanced services including cold chain logistics, less than container load (LCL) handling, and vendor-managed inventory solutions.
