PHNOM PENH — Thirty-five Indian tourism enterprises have shared clear plans to take part in the upcoming Cambodia Travel Match (CTM) 2026 event next month. During their highly anticipated visit, the Indian delegation will tour several key tourist destinations across the Kingdom. Cambodia will officially host the Cambodia Travel Match (CTM) 2026 – India Special Edition from July 17–23. This week-long event will bring together Indian outbound tour operators, destination management companies, and tourism business leaders. Together, these delegates will assess Cambodia’s vast tourism potential and actively strengthen bilateral tourism cooperation between both nations.
Strategic Partnership Driving Direct B2B Opportunities
The Pacific Asia Travel Association Cambodia Chapter (PATACC) serves as the primary organizer for the event. However, the program moves forward with extensive support from other key national bodies, including the Ministry of Tourism, the Cambodia Tourism Federation (CTF), and the Indian Chamber of Commerce in Cambodia (ICC). Ultimately, this collaborative event aims to create direct business opportunities while it continues promoting Cambodia as a highly competitive, diverse, and high-value tourism destination.
Over the course of seven days, the Indian delegates will participate in a packed, immersive itinerary. The structured schedule includes destination inspections, business-to-business (B2B) meetings, networking sessions, tourism product showcases, and cultural experiences across Siem Reap, Phnom Penh, Preah Sihanouk, and Koh Rong Island. Furthermore, the comprehensive program is deliberately designed to introduce buyers to more than just Cambodia’s iconic heritage attractions, as it simultaneously highlights the Kingdom’s expanding portfolio of urban, coastal, island, wellness, luxury, and experiential tourism products.
A Practical Platform for Long-Term Industry Growth
Thourn Sinan, president of PATACC, explained that the event focuses heavily on enhancing Cambodia’s reputation in the global marketplace. Regarding the initiative’s real-world impact, Sinan shared that CTM is more than a tourism event because it functions as a practical platform that connects international buyers with Cambodian tourism businesses, creates measurable business opportunities, and supports the long-term growth of Cambodia’s tourism industry. He added that tourism succeeds through partnership, contribution, and action, which will collectively strengthen Cambodia’s position as one of Asia’s most compelling destinations.
Ongoing Success of the CTM Mini-Series
The upcoming India Special Edition marks a continuation of a broader national marketing strategy. Since its launch in March, the CTM Mini-Series has already welcomed 80 international hosted buyers from seven distinct source markets. This sustained campaign format continues to generate measurable business outcomes while steadily strengthening Cambodia’s international tourism profile.
Early achievements from the multi-phase program include confirmed group movements resulting from direct trade engagement with Vietnam, alongside the successful development of entirely new source market segments from Indonesia. Additionally, the initiative has tapped into emerging opportunities centered around lucrative golf tourism packages from Singapore, while progressively developing structured travel programs from Myanmar and maintaining continued commercial engagement to stabilize visitor inflows from China.
