Cambodia’s total exports reached US$6.88 billion in the first two months of 2025, marking a 9.8% increase from the US$6.26 billion recorded during the same period last year, according to the latest report from the General Department of Customs and Excise.
The United States remained Cambodia’s largest export destination, purchasing goods worth US$2.43 billion, which accounted for 35% of the Kingdom’s total export value. Vietnam and China followed as the second and third largest markets, importing US$1.27 billion and US$348 million worth of Cambodian products, respectively.
Cambodia’s top export items include garments, machinery, electrical equipment, footwear, leather goods, furniture, rubber, grains, fruits, vegetables, pearls, toys, and textiles, as reported by the Ministry of Commerce.
H.E. Penn Sovicheat, Secretary of State and Spokesperson for the Ministry of Commerce, attributed the growth to rising international demand for Cambodian-manufactured products.
“The increase in exports reflects the strong demand for Cambodian products in foreign markets, notably in the U.S., European Union, and RCEP member countries,” he said during a forum in Phnom Penh.
On the import side, Cambodia brought in US$7.57 billion worth of goods from January to February 2025, representing a 21.5% increase compared to US$6.23 billion in the same period last year. Key import items included medicines, supplements, consumables, and food and beverages.
Overall, Cambodia’s international trade volume reached US$14.45 billion, reflecting a 15.6% year-on-year growth, underlining the country’s expanding role in regional and global trade.
