Phnom Penh — His Excellency Samheng Boros met with His Excellency Vanlalvawna Bawitlung, Ambassador of India to Cambodia, on Tuesday morning at the Peace Palace to discuss ways to further expand and strengthen cooperation between Cambodia and India across multiple sectors.
The cordial meeting served as an opportunity to exchange work experiences and explore new avenues for collaboration in areas such as education, health, tourism, and social protection. Both sides emphasized the importance of enhancing institutional cooperation to contribute to the long-term well-being and prosperity of their peoples.
H.E. Samheng Boros reaffirmed the Royal Government of Cambodia’s commitment to implementing the five-pronged strategy under the leadership of Prime Minister Hun Manet, with a strong focus on human capital development and improving citizens’ welfare. He underscored that the government continues to prioritize the creation of a more resilient and inclusive social protection system, based on a life-cycle risk approach and guided by the spirit of “leaving no citizen behind.”
H.E. Vanlalvawna Bawitlung commended Cambodia’s consistent progress in social development and human resource advancement. He expressed India’s readiness to deepen collaboration in these fields, highlighting India’s ongoing support in capacity building, digital transformation, health initiatives, and education exchanges.
Both dignitaries praised the enduring strength of Cambodia–India relations, noting that bilateral cooperation continues to expand in key sectors at all levels. They reaffirmed their mutual commitment to sustaining the momentum of partnership, fostering people-to-people connections, and promoting shared prosperity through continued dialogue and cooperation.
The meeting reflected the shared vision of Cambodia and India to build a partnership rooted in friendship, mutual respect, and a collective aspiration for inclusive development.
