Ho Chi Minh City – Vietravel Airlines has pledged to deepen its partnership with Cambodia’s tourism sector, aiming to bring more Vietnamese and international travelers to the Kingdom.
The commitment was made during a meeting on September 3 in Ho Chi Minh City between Cambodian Minister of Tourism H.E. Huot Hak and Mr. Pham Hoang Hung, Vietravel’s business development representative.
According to a statement from Cambodia’s Ministry of Tourism, discussions focused on Vietravel’s operational challenges and requests to boost tourism flows between the two countries. Both sides also explored new initiatives to encourage travel and strengthen tourism promotion.
Minister Huot Hak praised Vietravel Airlines for its ongoing efforts and strategies to support Cambodia’s tourism growth. He urged the airline to actively promote Cambodia’s attractions, noting the country’s reputation as a safe, welcoming, and friendly international destination.
“Cambodia is committed to maintaining peace, friendship, and good cooperation with all nations to ensure the safety and well-being of all tourists,” the minister stressed.
As part of the cooperation, Cambodia and Vietravel agreed to jointly organize a familiarisation tour, or “Famtrip,” for Cambodian private-sector representatives. This initiative will allow Cambodian companies to meet with Vietnamese counterparts and develop joint tour packages, enhancing cross-border tourism offerings.
The strengthened partnership is expected to create new opportunities for the tourism industries of both countries while further cementing Cambodia’s image as an attractive destination in Southeast Asia.
