PHNOM PENH — The Ministry of Labour and Vocational Training (MLVT) has officially unveiled 16 comprehensive volumes of China’s National Occupational Standards following an official donation by the Chinese Embassy. Cambodian government officials described the curriculum materials as a monumental step toward strengthening domestic vocational training frameworks and aligning the local workforce with international benchmarks.
The integration of these highly structured technical guidelines plays directly into Cambodia’s ongoing industrial modernization plans. By adapting global educational parameters, the Ministry intends to elevate its Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) platforms, ensuring students graduate with highly relevant, modern skills.
Elevating Local Skills to International Standards
This strategic educational donation aims to tackle critical skills gaps across expanding economic sectors. The 16 occupational standard packages cover rigorous training guidelines designed to uplift capabilities in advanced manufacturing, technology, logistics, and heavy industries.
Furthermore, upgrading Cambodia’s industrial workforce remains a key national priority as the Kingdom continues to welcome diverse manufacturing operations.
