PHNOM PENH — Signalizing high investor confidence and a strengthening bilateral economic partnership, Cambodia is hosting a major delegation of roughly 70 Chinese companies from July 22 to 24, 2026. The historic multi-sector trade mission aims to explore new investment avenues, accelerate regional economic expansion, and deepen commercial ties under the Belt and Road Initiative (BRI).
The delegation, led by Qi Fang on behalf of the Guangxi International Friendship Association, gathers investors and corporate leaders from key economic hubs across China, including Guangxi, Guangdong, Sichuan, Fujian, Beijing, Chongqing, and Hong Kong.
Strategic High-Growth Sectors in Focus
The three-day investment mission spans a diverse array of future-ready industries aimed at modernizing Cambodia’s industrial landscape and expanding local economic value chains:
- Clean Energy & Automotive: Renewable energy, electric vehicle (EV) manufacturing, and infrastructure integration.
- Technology & Industry: Artificial intelligence (AI), advanced manufacturing, logistics, and telecommunications.
- Services & Social Impact: Healthcare, agricultural technology, tourism, and financial services.

Speaking at the Cambodia-China Business and Investment Cooperation Forum, Mam Vandy, Vice President of the Veterans and Retirees Association, highlighted that this marks the first time Cambodia has hosted a delegation of approximately 70 Chinese enterprises simultaneously. He emphasized that the collaboration is designed not only to attract commercial capital, but also to support social growth and improve the livelihoods of local veterans and retirees through community-level employment.
Elevating Cambodia’s Appeal as a Strategic Investment Destination
Representing the delegation, Qi Fang noted that the Guangxi International Friendship Association continues to champion international trade, people-to-people exchanges, and cross-border industrial synergy in line with broader regional development frameworks.
The visit underscores Cambodia’s growing appeal to foreign direct investment (FDI). The Royal Government of Cambodia continues to refine its regulatory frameworks, streamline business procedures, and incentivize technology transfer to boost long-term competitiveness, create high-skilled jobs, and sustain economic momentum across Southeast Asia.
