PHNOM PENH — The Cambodia Chamber of Commerce has introduced a new framework. This initiative connects foreign business chambers directly to the Government-Private Sector Forum.
Chamber President Neak Oknha Kith Meng chaired the launch event in Phnom Penh. He also serves as Chair of the Coordination Committee for the forum.
Unifying Foreign Chambers Under a Single Mechanism
The new model creates a direct channel for international investors. Consequently, foreign business leaders can now submit policy feedback straight to government officials.
The consultation meeting brought together representatives from sixteen private-sector working groups. In addition, senior executives from various foreign trade associations attended the session.
During the meeting, Kith Meng highlighted the importance of strong policy mechanisms. He explained that international expertise strengthens Cambodia’s economic resilience. Furthermore, the chamber acts as an open gateway for all private enterprises. Therefore, foreign firms can easily share their business challenges through this single platform.
Core Sectors and High Resolution Performance
The chamber invited foreign businesses to join sixteen core sectoral working groups. These groups cover key industries like agriculture, tourism, manufacturing, banking, and digital technology.
In addition, chamber officials presented performance metrics from the latest forum report. The results demonstrate impressive progress across multiple sectors.
Specifically, the government completed 169 out of 179 mandated policy reforms. Moreover, officials successfully resolved 174 out of 198 private-sector operational issues. As a result, business confidence across the country continues to grow.
Finally, participants agreed to form a dedicated working group for future recommendations. This team will support the long-term goals of the Cambodia Vision 2050 strategy.
