Beryllus Capital Leads High-Level Cambodian Business Delegation Across India’s Infrastructure LandscapeLONDON, United Kingdom — London-based multifamily office Beryllus Capital has successfully concluded a senior Cambodian business delegation tour across India. The high-level program ran from June 30 to July 2, 2026. Remarkably, the visit generated approximately $500 million in soft investment commitments for prospective projects. Strategic Bilateral Dialogue Centers on Adani Group AssetsThe delegation was organized and led by Beryllus Capital. Chief Executive Officer Amit Kotha and Strategic Partner Jasvir Sohl represented the firm during the tour. Furthermore, the visiting Cambodian contingent featured several prominent government and corporate leaders. These high-profile figures included: H.E. Mr. Hun Many, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Civil Service. Neak Oknha Sear Rithy, Chairman of World Bridge International Group. Oknha Sok Piseth, Chief Executive Officer of GGear Group. The itinerary focused heavily on India's industrial base. Specifically, the Adani Group served as the centerpiece due to its status as one of India's most prominent industrial conglomerates. Throughout the tour, the delegation reviewed large-scale national infrastructure assets. Therefore, they gained direct operational insight into deep-water ports, solar installations, and mega-scale renewable energy platforms. This initiative underscores Cambodia’s strategic view of India. In fact, Cambodia views India as a vital collaborative partner across its full industrial and infrastructure verticals. Beyond establishing a direct dialogue, the program explicitly aims to lay the groundwork for tangible commercial cooperation. These future efforts will focus on infrastructure projects of national significance to Cambodia. Soft Commitments Reach $500 Million for Future DevelopmentThe tour concluded with soft commitments of roughly $500 million in prospective investments across various infrastructure sectors. Moving forward, Beryllus Capital will continue to play a central role in advancing these cross-border opportunities. In addition to convening the international parties, the Mayfair-headquartered firm will act as a key financial partner. They will help structure and arrange the funding needed to bring the identified projects to fruition. Sandeep Mehta, President and CEO of Adani Ports & SEZ, welcomed the initiative warmly. He stated: "It was a pleasure to welcome the Cambodian business delegation and to share the scale and capability of our ports, energy, and infrastructure platforms. Cambodia is an important and fast-growing economy in the region. Consequently, we see strong potential to support its infrastructure ambitions through long-term partnership and direct investment." Echoing this positive outlook, Neak Oknha Sear Rithy, Chairman of World Bridge International Group, praised the program. He noted that the visit reinforced Cambodia's commitment to building world-class infrastructure. Additionally, he stated that Cambodia welcomes high-quality international investment. He concluded that the extensive capabilities observed across the Adani Group align closely with Cambodia's national economic priorities.

In an exciting initiative to champion clean energy and foster sustainable development, Cambodia is gearing up for its 6th annual Clean Energy Week, scheduled to take place from November 16–23, 2023, in the vibrant city of Phnom Penh. This significant event is organized by EnergyLab Cambodia in collaboration with key partners, including the Australian Government, the New Zealand Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the EU-funded Solar Transformation Project through SWITCH-Asia, and the Czech Republic through the Czech Development Agency (CzDA).

The focus of the week-long event will be on promoting and celebrating the myriad opportunities that clean energy presents to Cambodia, with a particular emphasis on solar and wind energy resources. The event’s comprehensive program includes engaging discussions, hands-on workshops, insightful exhibitions, and impactful awareness-raising initiatives. These activities aim to showcase the innovation, success stories, and environmental benefits of embracing clean energy solutions.

This year’s Clean Energy Week aligns seamlessly with Cambodia’s ongoing efforts to drive progress, placing a special emphasis on energy security and the broader economic and social advantages of clean energy adoption. The nation’s abundant potential for harnessing clean energy resources not only promises to boost economic development but also serves as a strategic measure to mitigate uncertainties that can arise in the global energy market due to unforeseen events.

Justin Wyatt, the Australian Ambassador to Cambodia, expressed his delight in Australia’s significant sponsorship of this year’s Clean Energy Week. He highlighted Australia’s commitment to supporting Cambodia’s energy transition goals, emphasizing that clean energy provides a gateway to economic development, enhanced energy security, and progress towards carbon neutrality.

Through the Cambodia-Australia Partnership for Sustainable Economic Development (CAPRED), Australia pledges its support to Cambodia in increasing its utilization of renewable energy. This support includes capacity building for energy officials to effectively connect solar energy with remote areas, as well as promoting energy efficiency through the engagement of Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) in the market.

As Cambodia embarks on this positive journey towards a sustainable and clean energy future, the potential benefits are vast. The transition to clean energy not only addresses environmental concerns but also opens doors to new employment opportunities, poverty reduction, improvements in the welfare and education sectors, and the promotion of social equity. Clean Energy Week serves as a beacon, illuminating Cambodia’s commitment to shaping a greener, more prosperous future for its citizens and contributing to the global movement towards sustainable energy practices.
