Cambodia is set to welcome the New Year with the “Celebrating Cambodia” event, a vibrant celebration of the nation’s culture, achievements, and shared values. The event will kick off at 3 p.m. on December 31, 2024, and continue into the early hours of January 1, 2025.
In a press release on December 30, the organizing committee emphasized that the celebration is an opportunity to honor Cambodia’s identity, reflect on its achievements, and inspire national pride. It aims to showcase the nation’s socio-economic progress while highlighting the importance of unity and preserving Khmer heritage.
The event calls on Cambodians from all walks of life to come together under the national flag to celebrate their shared identity and achievements as one united family. Journalists and media outlets have been encouraged to spread the word and invite the public to participate in this significant event.
At the same time, the Ministry of Water Resources and Meteorology has issued a weather advisory for December 31 to January 2, noting the influence of the northeast monsoon over Cambodia, the Mekong Basin, the South China Sea, and the Gulf of Thailand.
As the nation prepares to ring in 2025, “Celebrating Cambodia” promises to be a heartfelt tribute to the spirit and resilience of the Khmer people.
