Cambodian Prime Minister to Visit South Korea for Bilateral Talks

Cambodian Prime Minister Hun Manet will lead a delegation to the Republic of Korea from 15-18 May 2024 on an official visit. The visit comes at the invitation of South Korean President, Yoon Suk Yeol. Prime Minister Hun Manet will be accompanied by his spouse, Pich Chanmony, as well as other high-ranking officials from Cambodia.

During the visit, Prime Minister Hun Manet will engage in bilateral talks with President Yoon Suk Yeol. The discussions will focus on strengthening partnerships and expanding cooperation between the two countries in various areas. Both leaders will witness the signing of important documents related to economic development and infrastructure.

In addition to the talks with President Yeol, Prime Minister Hun Manet will also hold separate meetings with South Korean Prime Minister Han Duck-soo and Speaker of the National Assembly Kim Jin-pyo. These meetings will provide an opportunity to further enhance bilateral relations and cooperation.

Furthermore, Prime Minister Hun Manet will participate in a Cambodia-Republic of Korea business forum. This forum aims to promote trade and economic ties between the two nations. Additionally, the Prime Minister will meet with Korean companies operating in Cambodia, as well as Cambodian citizens residing in South Korea.

Overall, the visit of Prime Minister Hun Manet to South Korea signifies the importance of strengthening relations and establishing deeper cooperation between the two countries. The discussions and meetings held during this visit will contribute to elevating bilateral relations to new heights, especially in areas of economic development and infrastructure.
