H.E. Huot Hak, Cambodia’s Minister of Tourism, recently held a significant business meeting with Mr. Bodo Pfaff-Greiffenhagen, a representative from Marketpilots, a firm based in the Federal Republic of Germany. The discussion took place in Berlin on March 6, during the International Tourismus Börse (ITB Berlin) 2025.
The primary focus of the meeting was to explore the possibility of establishing a direct flight connection between Cambodia and Germany, specifically via Techo International Airport. This initiative aims to bolster the growth of European tourism to Cambodia, with a particular emphasis on attracting visitors from German-speaking countries.
In addition to enhancing connectivity, the proposed flight route would further position Cambodia as a warm, welcoming, and world-class tourism destination, boosting its appeal both regionally and globally.
H.E. Huot Hak led a distinguished delegation to attend the ITB Berlin 2025, which took place from March 3 to 5. Cambodia’s participation in this prestigious event was strategically aimed at promoting the country’s vibrant tourism sector to both the German and international markets.
Throughout his stay, H.E. Huot Hak engaged with numerous tourism leaders, as well as representatives from major tourism associations and firms from around the world, fostering stronger cooperation and opportunities within the global tourism industry.
