PHNOM PENH — Cambodian National Assembly President Khuon Sudary has extended her official congratulations to Vyacheslav Volodin, Chairman of the State Duma of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation, ahead of the upcoming Russian National Day.
In a diplomatic letter released by local media on Monday, Sudary emphasized the enduring bilateral relationship between Cambodia and Russia, expressing a strong desire to deepen inter-parliamentary cooperation.

The official correspondence comes in anticipation of Russia’s national holiday, celebrated annually on June 12.
“On behalf of the National Assembly of Cambodia and on my own behalf, I wish to extend my heartfelt and warmest congratulations and felicitations to the Honourable Chairman, your colleagues and the people of the Russian Federation on the historic commemoration of the Russian National Day on 12 June 2026,” Sudary wrote in the letter.
The message highlights Cambodia’s continued commitment to maintaining active diplomatic and legislative channels with Moscow, a partnership that spans several decades.
