The Cambodia Confederation of Investors Association (CCIA), a prominent alliance of significant business chambers and associations across Cambodia, is excited to announce the schedule for its first-ever gala dinner. Scheduled for May 9, 2024, at the illustrious Diamond Island in Phnom Penh, this event is set to mark a significant occasion with Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Cambodia, gracing the gathering.

The gala dinner is anticipated to draw a crowd of approximately 4,000 participants, including high-profile individuals such as deputy prime ministers, ministers, provincial governors, government officials, and ambassadors from across the Asia-Pacific region. Moreover, the event will witness the presence of corporate moguls and innovators from over 15 countries, laying the foundation for fruitful business interactions and investment discussions.

Primed as a platform to showcase Cambodia’s economic potential and the opportunities it holds for foreign direct investments, the event underscores the country’s pursuit of becoming an investment hub on the global stage. This aligns with Cambodia’s strategic objectives of achieving middle-income status by 2030 and elevating to a high-income nation by 2050.

The CCIA, embodying a collective endeavor from various associations including the Cambodia Footwear Association (CFA), Malaysian Business Chamber in Cambodia (MBCC), Cambodia Camchin Commerce Association (CCCA), and several others, aims to nurture an ecosystem conducive to resource sharing and collective growth among its members.

Neak Oknha Ly Kun Thai, the President of CCIA, expressed, “We are channeling the unified strengths of our member business chambers to ensure the success of this pivotal event, which is designed to facilitate direct engagement between foreign investors, the Cambodian government, and local entrepreneurs. This initiative is a critical stride towards securing a prosperous future for Cambodia under the adept guidance of Samdech Thipadei Hun Manet.”

Adding to this, Oknha Tan Khee Meng, the Organizing Chairman and Vice President of CCIA, highlighted, “The gala dinner on May 9 reflects the Cambodian Government’s welcoming and pro-business stance, with the Prime Minister leading our country towards significant economic advancement. The vigorous efforts and open policies foster an environment ripe for investment and collaborative ventures, setting a progressive course for Cambodia’s economic evolution.”
