Emirates announced on March 3 that it will introduce a new flight route connecting Dubai, United Arab Emirates, to Siem Reap province, Cambodia, in an effort to strengthen tourism and trade ties between the two countries.
Starting June 3, the airline will operate three weekly flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, with a stopover in Bangkok, Thailand. This new route is designed to accommodate leisure travelers, offering seamless connections through multiple daily flights from key markets, including France, the UK, Spain, Germany, Portugal, and Russia.
In addition to this new service, Emirates currently operates daily return flights from Dubai to Phnom Penh, Cambodia’s capital, via Singapore.
Cambodia’s aviation sector has experienced significant growth, with its three international airports handling 5.65 million passengers in 2024—a 39.8% increase from the previous year, according to the State Secretariat of Civil Aviation.
Currently, over 30 international and domestic airlines connect Cambodia to major destinations across ASEAN, China, South Korea, India, Qatar, and the UAE, further enhancing the country’s global connectivity.
