The influx of international visitors to Cambodia showed a promising rise in January 2024, with the General Department of Immigration reporting a 4.60% increase from the previous month. The Ministry of Interior disclosed that the nation welcomed close to 700,000 foreign guests, engaging in various activities ranging from tourism to investment.

Keo Vanthan, the deputy director general and spokesperson for the General Department of Immigration, highlighted that January witnessed 690,000 international visitors entering Cambodia through various entry points including roads, waterways, and air routes. This marks a notable rise from December 2023, where the figures stood at 660,000, indicating a consistent upward trend in international tourism and business visits since the start of the year.

This continuous growth in international arrivals underscores Cambodia’s growing appeal as a vibrant destination for tourists and investors alike, reflecting the country’s expanding influence on the global stage.
