Hun Manet stated, “I am committed to fulfilling this noble national mission with heroism, integrity, and high responsibility. My priority is to ensure the defense of national independence, sovereignty, and territorial integrity. I will also strive to safeguard the throne and the constitutional monarchy in Cambodia, as well as maintain peace, promote development, and improve the lives of the Cambodian people. Additionally, I aim to enhance our national prestige on the international stage.”
Notably, the current Prime Minister, Hun Sen, announced that he will continue to serve for 15 more days before transitioning to the role of “Father of the Prime Minister.” He expressed his gratitude for having been the youngest prime minister and the longest-serving in the world. Reflecting on his political career, Hun Sen emphasized that even after stepping down as Prime Minister, he will continue serving Cambodia in various positions until at least 2033, accumulating more than half a century of dedicated service.
These recent developments demonstrate a smooth and peaceful transition of power within the Cambodian government, ensuring stability and continuity for the nation.
