PHNOM PENH — The Board of Trustees of Khmer Enterprise held its 20th meeting on Thursday, 23 July 2026, to review program progress and approve strategic directions for its next implementation phase.
The session was chaired by H.E. Hem Vanndy, Minister of Industry, Science, Technology & Innovation and Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Discussions focused on improving coordination mechanisms and optimizing support for Cambodian startups and micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs).
Highlighting the economic transition, Minister Vanndy noted that entrepreneurship plays an increasingly essential role in driving innovation, creating jobs, and generating new growth sources for the Kingdom.

Strategic Priorities and Program Highlights
During the meeting, the Board endorsed three core strategic pillars:
- Expanding Capability Development: Khmer Enterprise continues to deliver technical advisory, training, and emerging tech education in AI and digital tools. Its flagship HighschoolPreneur and Unipreneur initiatives have reached 175 high schools and universities across 25 capital and provinces, enabling youth to pitch and refine business concepts.
- Strengthening International Partnerships: Collaborating with partners from the Republic of Korea and Switzerland through the Khmer Enterprise Cambodia Startup LaunchPad Program, seven startups have reached investment due diligence, gained market exposure in Singapore, and secured early financing. This framework also aligns with the Cambodia Entrepreneurship Ecosystem Roadmap 2025–2035.
- Opening Market Access: In partnership with AEON Cambodia, Khmer Enterprise organized the Local Product Fair, hosting 112 local enterprises showcasing 946 Cambodian products. Digital platforms and targeted marketing efforts continue to promote local goods globally.
Elevating Local Products for Regional Impact
H.E. Dr. Chhieng Vanmunin, CEO of Khmer Enterprise, emphasized that developing entrepreneurship requires enhancing business strategy and product standard quality. By expanding ecosystem partnerships and market access, local entrepreneurs can build resilient enterprises and elevate Cambodian brands in both domestic and international markets.
Reaffirming its support, the Board pledged to continue funding and guiding programs that strengthen Cambodia’s overall startup ecosystem.
